Opened by Geoff Henry in 1951 and further developed by Anne and Tony Gibson from 1971, Shonit Jagmohan joined Richard Vojlay in early 2016 as part of Richard’s succession plan and is now the principal optometrist and practice owner of Vision Camberwell Optometrists.

Shonit completed his Bachelor of Optometry with Honours at the University of Auckland. He was awarded a scholarship at a leading contact lens practice before moving to Australia as a primary health consultant managing eye-related diseases in rural areas.
In 2012, Shonit moved to Adelaide to join the groundbreaking Research & Development team within Innovative Contacts who developed the revolutionary Forge OrthoK lenses, EyeSpace Sclerals and EyeSpace software. Shonit’s role included trouble shooting miniscleral and RGP lens designs for optometrists across Australia and New Zealand which afforded him advanced knowledge in designing and trouble shooting complex contact lens fitting for keratoconus, and orthokeratology (OrthoK) lens fitting for myopia control.
Shonit was on the national board and was appointed South Australian president of the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia in 2012 and 2013 and has spoken at several conferences including Eye360 and the International Cornea and Contact Lens Congress (ICCLC) on the subject of miniscleral contact lenses and OrthoK.
In 2016, Shonit was invited to join Vision Camberwell where he became a partner 2017. In 2020, Shonit became the principal owner and optometrist charged with continuing the Vision Camberwell legacy.
Shonit is highly regarded for fitting a wide range of custom designed contact lenses for keratoconus and works tirelessly and is renowned for achieving results for clients with complicated eyes. Shonit is therapeutically accredited to treat conditions such as conjunctivitis, ocular inflammation, dry eye and glaucoma.
Highly devoted to patient care, his dedication has earned him an outstanding reputation not only for the results he achieves, but also for the compassion he shows for those in his care. As such, he receives regular referrals from other optometrists, health care professionals and patients.
Shonit’s mission for Vision Camberwell is to maintain its reputation as one of Australia’s leading practices for fitting contact lenses for keratoconus and OrthoK and to continue to bestow the gift of excellent vision.
Having enjoyed a successful career in human resources, Sharon studied a Bachelor of Health Science majoring in nutritional medicine, before joining the team in 2016 as the Business Manager.
Sharon has a unique flair for frame aesthetics and styling, and as the stock buyer for Vision Camberwell, takes pride in stocking the practice with eye wear that compliments every face.
Born in Russia, Vlad studied at one of the world’s top ballet schools, Moscow Bolshoi Ballet Academy before following in his father’s footsteps of pursuing a career in the medical industry. In 2003, Vlad completed his Bachelor of Optometry in Jerusalem.
Vlad practiced at a prestigious optical clinic for almost 15 years before he moved his family to Australia and was invited to join the Vision Camberwell team to support Shonit in providing the highest standard of eye care and technical expertise as Vision Camberwell’s senior optical dispenser.
