Jue completed his Bachelor of Optometry in 2013 at the University of Melbourne. During his studies, he completed two Ophthalmic Internships with the Qi Lu Hospital in Jinan, China, and Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut in the USA. After practicing optometry in South Australia, Jue was offered the Professional Affairs Specialist position with Johnson & Johnson Vision in Shanghai, and was tasked with educating internal staff, and training eye care professionals, about contact lenses and eye care.

Having developed a special interest in complex contact lenses for complicated eye conditions such as keratoconus and post-graft corneas, as well as managing progressive myopia including complex orthokeratology (OrthoK), Jue returned to a patient-facing role in 2017 where he felt he could make the biggest difference to patients.

Jue continued his Professional Development by completing the Myopia Education Program with the Brien Holden Institute 2019, and the Certificate in Advanced Contact Lenses with the Australian College of Optometry in 2022.

In January 2023, Jue joined the Vision Camberwell team as a senior optometrist, and conducts his consultations in both English and Mandarin Chinese. Jue’s devotion to patient care and strive for excellence aligns with Vision Camberwell’s mission to be renowned as one of Australia’s leading practices for managing progressive myopia, and fitting complex contact lenses for keratoconus, corneal grafts and orthokeratology (OrthoK).
